We Need Your Prayers
Hey friends. We've had such a crazy awful week & we really need your prayers. Tuesday afternoon Matt was in a pretty bad car accident. He was turning left out of the church parking lot & didn't think anyone was coming. The lady that hit him was going 20 mph over the speed limit & was drinking. Thank God she hit the front of the car & not his door. He is ok--just really banged up. He has a bump on the back of his head & one on the front (we're guessing he hit the door & the mirror??) and his legs are badly bruised. They did a cat scan & it all came back clear--no bleeding on his brain & no concussion. It makes me sick to even think what could have happened if he moved just a millisecond sooner or something. I have been overwhelmed by God's peace through all of this & I have taken comfort in the fact that God is our Protector. Matt's life is in His hands & He is in control. I'm just so thankful that God chose to keep Matt around for awhile. I'm not even letting my mind go there...
Please pray for us today as we go to the wrecker yard to check out our car. Our insurance is going to look at it today or tomorrow to see if it's salvagable or should just be totaled. Pray for our finances during this time & pray that if we have to buy a new car that God would provide one that would keep us from going further into debt. Pray for Matt as he takes time off to rest & heal. And please pray for our family. I don't want to get all kooky (sp??) but I really feel like we are under spiritual attack. This is Matt's 2nd accident since we've been here. He slipped & gashed his head last week. Ava has been sick. I woke up sick yesterday & feel even worse today. I got shocked last week....we're just running into a lot of physical problems. Please pray for us during this time that we would fall under God's hand of protection. Pray for strength to trust Him during these days.
We finally heard from America World yesterday. No answers yet, but they want Matt to get a letter from a doctor about his crohn's disease & how that would affect his ability to parent. Please pray for us as we search for a doctor & try to get in quickly to see them. We can't move forward until this is done, so we'd really like to have something to A.W. by next week. Thanks for praying for us. Love you guys!!

oh my gosh, rach... i'm so sorry you guys have had a tough couple of months! i'm sure it's overwhelming, but take comfort in the fact that you have friends who are covering you in prayer! i promise to continue to pray for you guys... let me know if i can do anything to help you out!
so glad matt's okay... it sounds like a scary wreck. glad he's taking time off to heal. i'll be praying for all 3 of you guys! hope you feel better soon!

I am so sorry that it has been so rough lately! We will definitely be praying for you guys. Don't you just love the stress of life? I know I do! It seems like it's never-ending. But praise God that He has a purpose for everything we go through and that He loves us. We'll be praying specifically for healing for ALL of you (it's a million times harder to deal when you're sick, isn't it?) and that Satan will keep his hands off of your family! And no it doesn't sound crazy that you guys are under spiritual attack. Y'all are awesome and have such a huge ministry! You're a threat, and while that's something to boast in the Lord about, it can be really hard. We love you guys and are here if you need ANYTHING! and we HAVE to get together soon! Love you : )
